Q: How long will it take to install version 9.5 from the CD or to update to version 9.7?
A: The update is rather large and it may take as long as several days for Manage IT! to go through its updating process the first time you run it after installing the update. Please also reserve extra time for your Manage IT! software update or CD upgrade if you use equipment created before January 2000.

Q: Should I be worried about losing my Manage IT! data?
A: As long as you’re not updating Math or TEKS Biology, all your records (including demographic groups, students, classes, and assignments) will be saved.
Warning: The assignments in TAKS Math titles for grades 1-11 and TEKS Biology will be reset.

Q: Where can I find the 9.7 Update?
A: If you have a dial-up internet connection, connect to the Internet first. Open the Sleek_9 folder on your hard drive and open the SleeksIT folder. Double-click on CheckUpIT9. CheckUpIT will download and install the updater from the Sleek Corporation Web Site. If you have Manage IT!, open the ManageIT folder. Double-click on CheckUpMIT. You may also call us at 1-800-337-5335 to request a version 9.5 CD. Q: Why should I install the 9.5 CD and the 9.7 online update?
A: We recommend updating your computers so that you can have the most recent content and program updates.

Q: Has the content changed?
A: Yes. With version 9.5, Spanish TAKS Science titles for grades 3–5 are available for the first time and are included in both the update and on the CD for you to use for free for 30 days! Also, the TAKS Math titles for grades 9–11 have been changed and updated so that there are more higher-level problems, including more multi-step and problem-solving algorithms. The TAKS Science titles for grades 9–11 now have new ruler questions, and the TAKS Science titles for grades 3–5 have new gridded-response questions.

With the version 9.7 update, you get all of the above changes, plus the following additional changes:

Math
Several modifications have been made to the Math content resulting in better TAKS-based, grade-appropriate questions, particularly in the elementary school titles.

Science
New IPC questions have been added and lessons in the elementary Science titles have been modified to facilitate navigation through the lesson lists.

Social Studies
Several new U.S. Government questions have been added to our high school Social Studies titles.
