Select
a subject/grade from the left. |

Select Sammy
Student on the right to log in as a student.
OR Select Tammy Teacher and
type in the teacher password to log in as a teacher. (See
your manual for teacher password. This enables the Assignment
and Preference Editors under the Edit menu.) |

Click
on the Start button to begin. |

| Adding
Students |
| |

|
| |
1. |
At the
Login window, type the teacher password in the password field.
(See your manual for teacher password.) Click on Add. |

2. |
Type in
a student’s first name, last name, and a password.
Be sure to make note of the password for the student. |
| |
|
|
| |
3. |
Click
on OK if you have finished adding students,
or Another to add more students. You can
delete students by selecting their name in the Login window
and clicking on Delete. |

|
| |
4. |
Make changes
to any student by selecting that student and clicking on Edit. |
| |
|
|
| |
5. |
VERY
IMPORTANT: When you are finished adding, deleting,
or editing student accounts, click on the Apply button. |

| Answering

Click
on the letter in parentheses next to any answer choice to
select that answer. |

on the button that corresponds to the answer choice in the
blue bar on the left. |

the key on your keyboard that corresponds to the answer choice. |

If you
are in a tutorial Assignment, notice that you will see a
Warm Fuzzy for correct answers and an Explanation for incorrect
answers. You can click on the buttons in the Explanation
window to see an appropriate lesson for that question/problem
or to review the question/problem. |

| View
and Customize the Main Report |

Select Main
Report from the Windows menu. |
| |
|
|
| |
2. |
Click
on the pop-up menu in the top black bar to choose which items
will be displayed in the report. |

|
| |
3. |
Click
on the Assignments pop-up menu (middle of
the top blue bar) to choose the Assignments for which you
want a report. |

|
| |
4. |
Click
on the Date/Time pop-up menu (top right)
to choose the date that a particular Assignment was started. |

| Using
the Goto Menu |
| |
|
|
| |
1. |
Log into
any Math title. |
| |
|
|
| |
2. |
Click
the Goto Menu and select Problem. A
list of all the included math problems will appear. Select
one and click on OK. |

3. |
Click
the Goto Menu and select Specific Lesson. A list of all the
included math lessons will appear. Select one and click on
OK. |

Try selecting Resource, Choose
Scoreboard, and Help, too! |

Log into
any Reading or Writing title and try the different options
under its Goto menu. |

to Different Assignments |

Log into
any title. |

Click
the File menu and choose Start Assignment. Notice
that the Session Report automatically appears, which gives
details on the current computer session. Click on OK. |

3. |
Notice
the different tutorial and testing (diagnostic) Assignments
available. In tutorial Assignments, students have access
to lessons, examples, and feedback for correct and incorrect
answers. In tests, students will have no help or feedback,
just like on the actual test. |

Select
an Assignment and click on OK. |

| |
5. |
You can
create custom Assignments by selecting Assignment from the Edit menu
if you are logged in as a teacher. These custom Assignments
will then appear in your Assignment list. |
