Version 10 is Even Better Because of Our Customers
Thanks to a great suggestion from Sheri Ganske, District
Technologist at
Wharton ISD in Texas, Incredible Tutor™ Version 10
now
includes a way for teachers to verify that students are working
under their
own names.
With
Incredible
Tutor™ Version 10, your
student’s
name appears at the top right corner of the ‘student’
screens.
This way, you’ll know for sure that the correct student is
logged on
when you look at their monitor while they are working.
If
you have a recommendation on how we can make Incredible
Tutor™
even better, please let us
know! You
may see your suggestion come to life in future versions of the
software.

Incredible Tutor™ Geek Peek
Do you have students who have
trouble seeing text on standard computer screens? Incredible
Tutor™ has a way to make it easier for students with mild
visual impairments to see the text. Simply log into any title
using the sleekteacher password. Then go to the Edit pull-down
menu (between File and Goto) and select Preferences. A small
box will appear. Next, click on the Miscellaneous tab. A window
should appear with 5 options in the top screen and 1 option in
the bottom screen.
If you select the first one, Background
Color, a Value window will appear at the top. Choose the color
you want to have in the background and change the number accordingly—1
for yellow, 2 for cyan and 3 for grey.
Similarly, if you want to
change the font size, simply select Font Size Offset and change
the numbers to 1 for big or 2 for bigger!
Lynda Tidewell from Lake County
School District in Florida, told us that when she was a little
girl she used to make these easy muffins for her mother for
her Mother’s
Day breakfast in bed.
Directions:
Mix the dry ingredients together (the flour, baking powder and
baking soda) and set aside. Beat the eggs until they are light
and fluffy. Add the sugar to the eggs and stir well. Then,
to the egg/sugar mixture, add the oil and lemon rind. Blend
this until it’s smooth. Slowly add the dry ingredient
mixture. It’s okay if it’s somewhat lumpy. Put
paper muffin holders into a muffin pan and pour batter in halfway.
Cook for 10-15 minutes at 300 degrees F. You’ll know
the muffins are done when you put a toothpick in the middle
and it comes out clean.
